The three blade Dyna-Jet is the most popular propeller in the world for moderate size recreational boats. The M-500 is selected by many operators for new boat construction, re-powers, and propeller upgrades. When compared to the Dyna-Quad, the extra blade and additional blade area provides potential for increased thrust without increasing propeller diameter, which may be impossible due to clearance considerations. The M-500 is the top choice on installations where heavy v-struts or other hull appendages affect inflow, where a propeller with a lower blade number could produce significant vibration due to the inflow variations. The M-500 can also reduce noise and vibration in situations with tight tip clearance. The M-500 provides exceptional durability with performance approaching a custom propeller at the cost of a standard series propeller.
